The Marketing and Communications team strives to elevate the University of Northern Colorado’s reputation and recognition locally, regionally and nationally. By utilizing our expertise in design, technology and creativity, we deliver campaigns that create lasting impact through strategic marketing and compelling storytelling.
We create, inspire and design marketing communications for external audiences that support the university's strategic priorities. We do this by partnering with campus communicators, departments, colleges and divisions to develop consistent communications strategies that advance the university’s mission and goals. We offer consultation on marketing strategy and effective branding.

For the media
University News and PR is the liaison between the university community and news media. We respond to incoming media inquiries and public requests for information and provide strategic public and media relations services and support to departments, schools and colleges across the university.
Alumni Communications
Working on behalf of all UNC programs and offices, University Advancement is responsible for managing alumni communications and associated data, including contact information and communication preferences using a constituent relationship management (CRM) tool and coordinated alumni communication calendar. Strong central coordination enables UNC to be thoughtful regarding the time and method of communication, especially when alumni maintain interest and relationships with multiple areas of the university.
Translation services
As a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution, UNC considers language accessibility as a priority in communication with the Spanish-speaking audiences. The Bilingual Communication Strategist position at the Marketing team helps to better serve these audiences.
